Emmy winning, Texas Music Awards “Singer/Songwriter Of The
Year” Bob Cheevers will showcase 65 years of songwriting in his
memorabilia-filled Studio Geronimo the first Sunday of each
month with a relaxed, up-close-and-personal, interactive
listening evening performance of songs from the 40-plus
commercial albums. of a man who’s career has spanned 25 years
in the major label west coast pop scene followed by 16 years as
a staff writer for Criterion Music in Nashville. Moving to Austin in
2008, he was offered a lifetime position on the advisory board of
The Austin Songwriter’s Group, was a regular performer at The
Saxon Pub, Threadgills, Gruene Hall & countless roadhouses,
bars and house concerts in and around Austin along with 21
years of touring a dozen countries in Europe & the UK. Bob and
his wife Sharon also created Austin’s highly successful
Bebobalooza Benefit Series. Of his many high profile Austin
music friends, his stature in the songwriting community is best
described by his pal Ray Wylie Hubbard who said “Bob Cheevers
is one cool scarecrow gypsy poet who writes & sings the
romantic, beautiful truth. When he releases a record, I listen”.
