Toward the end of my '06 UK summer tour, I was playing in Southampton and noticed a lovely woman sketching me during the show. Afterward, I was introduced to the artist who presented me with the sketch (which appears in the moon on the CD cover). Thus began a mystical journey and symbiotic relationship that inspired forty poems and sixteen songs in a few months time. From this body of work came Fiona's World, my latest CD of Delta-Celtic music which, when "translated", means "Celtic tunes dipped in Mississippi Delta mud."A slight departure from the sound that has turned so many into "Cheevers believers," it maintains the same heart and soul of previous critically acclaimed releases.
